Dr. Jose Acostamadiedo was born July 17, 1965 in Barranquilla, Colombia, and he is currently a Colombian citizen.  He speaks both fluent English and Spanish.  Dr. Acostamadiedo served in the Armed Forces Republic of Colombia from 1983 to 1984, and was honorably discharged.
